Insights on the glass ceiling for immigrant women entrepreneurs in the technology sector

Purpose Technology sector is the pivotal element for innovation and economic development of any country. Hence, present article explores past researches looking into challenges faced by immigrant women entrepreneurs in technology their corresponding response strategies. Design/methodology/approach This study employs a systematic literature review (SLR) technique to collate all relevant strategies from entrepreneur's perspective provide comprehensive picture. Overall, 49 research articles are included this SLR. Findings indicate that status further escalates human, financial network disadvantages who want start technology-based venture. Originality/value paper contributes categorizing barriers on 3 × 2 matrix reflecting origins barrier or strategy (taking place at individual, firm institutional level) versus type (arising being an woman sector). After underlining dearth studies about complex phenomenon WEs sector, points out several neglected themes future research.
